The Fort Walton Beach Junior Bombers (FWBJB) are a 501(c)(3) non-profit junior flat track derby program. It is open to all female youth ages 8-17. These youth represent the future of Panhandle United Roller Derby (the adult league) and of roller derby worldwide. We are proud to present junior roller derby and help develop the next generation of female athletes!

Fort Walton Beach Junior Bombers will encourage and enrich children and teenagers by developing character, confidence, leadership, and social skills. Fort Walton Beach Junior Bombers will also enhance the athletic skills of its participants by fine tuning their athletic abilities and/or discovering latent skills.

Today’s roller derby is played on a flat track (typically a gymnasium floor) and is a high-speed team sport requiring roller-skating skill and agility, strategy and athletic ability. While a light contact sport, junior roller derby promotes safety, cooperation, and wholesome fun and entertainment for the whole family. Junior roller derby offers a unique alternative to more “traditional” youth sport - encouraging individual expression and growth while based on the principles of community, fair play and friendly competition. Driven by volunteerism, all aspects of FWBJB league formation and operation is organized as a not-for-profit and on a purely volunteer basis.
